When trans men use the term tranny
I was going to write a blog post with this, but I would only be restating what Kaia said in a much less eloquent way.
Trans men, we need to stand with our trans women siblings in solidarity and be allies.

First Video: My Transformation
I had an inner debate as I made this movie. When it comes to the trans community so many people want to see the "before" and "after" pictures. I didn't want to make a video that would play into the notion that people have a right to see "before" and "after" pictures. I also didn't want to exploit myself or other trans folks. I decided to make the video, anyways.
I don't believe that any of these pictures indicate a "before" and "after." I have always been Isaiah, even when I didn't realize it. I was merely dressing in drag for 20 years. This short video is just to show the transformations I've made in the past 22 years.
Also! Don't forget to ask me questions for my next video post!

Introductions
Hello Readers (all 3 of you)!
I am starting a blog to talk about my transition step by step.
I guess I should introduce myself first.
My name is Isaiah and I'm a transman. I came out as gender non-confroming over a year ago whilst on the 2010 Equality Ride. I should have realized I was trans from a young age, but I didn't. So here I am, 22 years old, college educated, and moving to Philadelphia soon.
I have been going to Persad Counseling Center in Pittsburgh for gender therapy. In order for a trans person to start transitioning they have to go through therapy in accordance with Harry Benjamin's Standards of Care (http://www.wpath.org/Documents2/socv6.pdf). I have been in therapy at Persad for about 3 months. On September 26, 2011 my counselor will submit my case to a Gender Team (medical professionals) who will determine if I can start taking hormones or not. I also have to do a series of blood tests and such so the doctors can make sure my liver won't shut down. I will hopefully be starting testosterone shots in October.
As of now, I am trying some stuff to transition naturally, until I can start hormones. I have started taking tribulus, zinc, and magnesium. They all help your body naturally produce more testosterone. I have also been lifting weights to give myself a more masculine appearance. Once I start testosterone these changes will happen more quickly and noticeably.
Here are two of my most recent pictures. Yes, I know I look like a complete douche bag in one.
